Some very important things I forgot to mention:
This guild will never...
Have a level requirement. Why should anyone be excluded just because of levels? We aren't aimed at being a hardcore raiding guild, and quite frankly, the more diverse of levels sometimes makes for a more interesting experience.
Have a raid requirement attendance. Real life always comes first. Period. There might be certain raids that push people to be there if they are important enough, but overall there will never be a requirement. If we required people to be at raids, we wouldn't have a DKP system.

"How will Officers and Guild Leaders be treated in the DKP Guild Point system?"
My answer:
"We will be treated the exact same way as regular members. We will all get 1 point per raid, and will all have the same advantages and disadvantages of the system and bidding. Nobody gets an advantage or disadvantage that others don't get." Agreed. But what of the raid leaders, i dont exacly plan to lead a whole lot of raids but i beleive raid leaders spend the time to plan and execute raid deserve a little extra for the time spent. Unless you want to have specific raid leaders (goes for DKP keepers/loot management)

The way I figured it the respect and admiration of a winning strat was the reward for leading raids. I'd understand having greater rewards though...it is a bit of work.

Good point guys, but also consider this. The more raids you lead and are successful at, the more popular and admired you will be in the guild. This equals to if you request help such as an epic raid kill or something, you have more chance of getting more people then somebody that just shows up to the raids.
Also, the feeling of accomplishment feels good. ;D
I plan on leading some raids myself, but we definitely need a raid leader when Kunark comes around, I am not even planning on starting to elect one till Kunark. The only thing I am electing is officers when a month comes into the server.

Back in the early days, i was in charge of teaching lowbies how to raid and i found Najena to be a great learning curve with people at the right level, 15-20 ish correct me if im wrong. (Of course it was consequence free with my 59 shm in the background) I mean at this level, a raid can be just going after items, as Ivan said, its in our best interest to farm equipment and earn it than farm the plat at the same place day after day and buy things

Concerning new gear, I'd prefer guild groups going to get our members upgrades to simply farming it, it promotes guild-familylikeness! Though, it would be rather hard, seeing as everything will probably be camped from day 2 (or 3). Still, less boring when you have a group of friends there helping you get your gear. In addition to entertainment, and sentimental purposes, it will also allow us to get gear that is closer to our own level rather than gear that we've already outgrown. I understand that you can't get get a piece of gear which is already camped, but if given a choice, I'd rather take the company, and worse gear then being alone with slightly better gear.

Kunark is full of yummy raid spots! Seb, Veeshans peak... There was a dragon somewhere in the mists of everything. City of Mist. Dalnir. I wouldn't call it a raid place, but it made a lot of fun to get a group running the place. There was some okay loot.

*pokes the thread with a fork* I think it's done. Just kidding.
Anyhow, yea, Kunark has some nifty raid spots, but Velious is where it's at.

You people had it made. I never had a character past lvl 18 so I cud never qualify to go on raids. All I could do was sit on the side lines staring at the screen while my friend had his as handed to him.

I was never really a raider either. the raiding guilds i was in i was only an initiate and my "sponsors" never logged on so I ended up getting booted. it was retaaaded. Also... Great Divide is Velious, not Kunark... would have to modify that statement when it comes to pre-raid raiding ;D

Soo you say we'd use DKP as ways to be in for loot, but what about the first raid, everyone will only ahve 1 DKP so in that situation would you do a classic roll system for those who can use that item as an upgrade, this was just something that occurred to me.

I know what you mean bud. I was thinking about this for awhile. And I thought of this:
Every THO member by the time of the first real, (not practice) raid to kind of show a "thank you" for showing the way a guild is supposed to be will get 3 points right away. If an item drops, people will send tells to the officer for the item. It will cost 1 point to roll for the certain item, and whoever wins it gives up all their points. Then after that each raid someone attends they get a point.
Practice raids, since they will have a smaller amount of people attending, will have just rolling for items, need before greed.
Again, this stuff are just theories that will most likely be used, but some of it MIGHT change.
