Major announcement for all THO members.
With all the confusion going on with the eqclassic server, I have decided I will start a guild on the private server, Shards of Dalaya. It will be named "The Lost Order".
This will be a temporary guild to keep the THO members with something to do and be a guild basically until we find out what is up with the EQClassic server.
For info on the game, go to shardsofdalaya.com. You don't need titanium to play, you just need an updated patch which you just make a 15 day free trial account with everquest to patch it. This is free and easy to do.
Tips for Shards of Dalaya from my experience:
-It is a very fun server, but is VERY complicated. -Don't pick ANY common names (John, Jimmy, etc.) or title names (Beast, King, Prince, etc.) -Don't spam the /ooc channel with stupid questions.
The GMs are VERY strict. Besides that, the server is very fun.
Everyone report here with if you are planning on joining.

Oooh. I guess I'm game...gotta see if I remember my SoD stuff...SoD is kinda iffy, but I'll go for it. It'll take me a few days to get it up an running. Still trying to find a job, and get school under control and what not, but I'll be on asap! How can we contact you in game?
EDIT: Just went and got it. Gonna get on real quick and make a toon, hopefully be able to play a bit. I'll /whoall Lost Order and see what I get.

I haven't made the guild yet. My character is Foaly, a 19th level dwarf rogue. I will probably be on sometime this week to get to 20 and the guild will be made on October 1st to make it so everyone in THO is able to get the game up and running.
I agree, some parts of SOD are kind of iffy, but some of the quests, lores, and features are actually pretty nice.

Uhm...okay. So...when I run the sodpatcher, I get some error window. When I run the sodbin, I get the patcher. I hit Patch and Run, but then I get some eqw pop up that takes me to the station launcher where it starts to download stuff. Sound right, or am I doing something wrong?

I am not the most tech-savvy guy, I would apply on the Shards of Dalaya forums and go under their tech help section and search, if it is not under any search options, post.

your eqhost file needs to be edited to read as follows, [Registration Servers] { "67.205.76.13" } [Login Servers] { "67.205.76.13:5997" }

browse forum.shardsofdalaya.com/forumdisplay.php?f=15 for any support you need. welcome to the community (again) and all that jaz. enjoy your selfs while your here. I hear that +50percent exp is either going through this weekend OR is going to be FRI-SUN (sep26-28) which is a good way to grind some lvls out. Did 20 lvls yesterday including several hours of sitting around doing nothing.

I'm already in a guild there, but we are not very active.
I'll be glad to help out whenever though.

Exactly. Playing an emu means you don't know if your character is going to still exist overnight.
