I took this from the EQC page and not too sure what they mean All participants are responsible for the lawful acquisition of the correct client software (2001 EQTrilogy distribution) and a copy of Windows XP x86 (32bit) edition. I assume its just the original EQ and the usual windows XP

It means you must get the discs legally. They will not providing the CDs for you to install on your computer.

Nothing to worry about.
It will work from what I've heard with Vista and 7 too, just some of the EQWindow stuff won't work. Don't quote me on that.

I assume its just the original EQ and the usual windows XP This is for the trial developer program. They want everyone to be developing in the same environment and with legal software. Come release they can't prevent people from using it on a different OS, but I'm sure they will only "support" one version.
