Greetings, THO;
As a former officer of the Bronze Dragon Fellowship of the Tunare server, I was wondering if you had a charter for your guild and a mission statement. While not every guild needs one, it would help some wandering adventurers like myself in deciding if we would like to post an application.
Best of luck, on Norrath and beyond!

Sorry, our website is kinda under construction ATM. That had a lot of the information regarding what type of guild this is. On our main page, Casmir wrote: "The Holy Order is a revolutionary guild on the EQClassic server. We are based off of a complicated, yet easy and fun system of raiding, grouping, and doing events. We are not picky about our members, we accept all levels, races, and classes. The only requirement is that all members need to be respectful with everyone. We do not require members to go to raids. We will have raids for all levels, races, and classes. This way people are not pressured to powerlevel their way through the game, not learning the ins and outs of their classes. We will do all this while still maintaining the classic feel of the game."
From my understanding, we won't be raiding until mid-late Kunark. This is to accommodate for the fact that a lot of us probably won't want to grind through EQ quickly this time around. We still would like to experience raids for the fun though. It really depends on where the guild is at. If we have capable people who want to raid earlier, we probably will.
Hope that helps. If you have anymore questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Exactly what Aaniadyen said. Check out www.theholyorder.tk That is our current website that hasn't been updated, but almost everything is accurate. A new one should be done by the time the server opens up. If you have any specific questions, just make a thread in the Questions, Comments, and Concerns section or in this thread and I will gladly answer them.

Thanks for the replies!
On the Tunare Server I was a roleplayer, and I had to work at creating a character that could cooperate with races that would ordinarily draw only the ire of a High Elf paladin. I wonder, sometimes, how long it would take to level up through EverQuest if people actually discovered the game for themselves. Could you imagine if you learned everything about the game through exploration and conversing with NPCs and a few players? No forums, no Allakazam's, no item lists and quest walk-throughs? I don't know if I would try EQC "cold turkey" but I've thought about it.
In my old guild, which I belonged to long after it was pretty much considered disbanded (I took an oath to be loyal to the guild to the end, so long as the guild was honorable, and I sailed away from Norrath wearing my title of BDF Officer). In game I was married at level 20 to Kelrith T'Aruuk, and I remained loyal to him even when he stopped playing EQ after only a year... my vow was to remain loyal to his character until death, and he never deleted his character. I retained his name for four years until he informed me the account was sold, and remained a widow until I left EverQuest.
Why tell you this? Just to let you know that when I make commitments, in life or in game, they are truly commitments. If I should join The Holy Order, it would be with that level of loyalty.
As EQC nears release I will keep vigilant in watching guilds and individuals, and will likely go it alone for a while to see how the world shapes up. But, once I decide, the vow will be made.

Well, thanks for stopping by. I too will be staying committed to The Holy Order as you have described in your post and believe we have a solid foundation of members that feel the same. I look forward to seeing you in-game and I hope that your journeys bring you back to The Holy Order.

For the most part, the majority of us that are still posting here are and/or have been loyal to THO since we joined, and tried to keep it going while the EQC forums were down, and more people seem to be coming out of the darkness and reappearing. In my experience so far, these people are all a fun bunch and we'll get along pretty darned well while having fun and challenging each other to be better!

I myself am proud to say that THO will remain my guild of choice until it's end of days.

Likewise. Also, I know between Casmir and myself you've got a couple of folks who will be RPing quite a bit. On that note, if you're any good with names, I desperately need to fix Dalkice's surname. =P
