Sorry if this isn't very helpful, but I used to have a book called Prima's Official Strategy Guide for the EverQuest Kunark expansion, it had all the information you need pretty much for everything in the game, I give it an A+. Once velious comes out there is more information, but overall it is still accurate throughout velious too. I would order it on Amazon, I am going to. It has a lot of info on tradeskills. ;D

I actually compiled a HUGE list of tradeskill stuff on the EQC forums, I'll copy and paste it in. www.eqclassic.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=69That's literally everything, all oldschool pre-Kunark. So see what you can dish up on that.

I always used EQTC (EQ Trader's Corner). Gives recipes, components, trivials, all of that good stuff. I think they might have era's catagorized as well, but not 100% sure. And thinking about it, I think only tradeskill I will go into is tailoring and that's on a monk alt. Speaking of tradeskills, do we want to consider maybe setting up a log of who is what tradeskill in case anything is needed or someone would like an item made?

At some point I intend to get into baking, brewing, and of course, research. The one time I got to see a handmade "Misty Thicket Picnic" on my paladin, I was enthralled.

Oh gods, yes, those Misty Thicket Picnics - Everquest speak for "more food than you can ever eat in your life."
I used to have tonnes of fun crafting, so I am very much looking forward to sitting down and chatting with a few people while clicking combine.

One thing I just realized...I swear, if I do roll a monk, and fail that d**n Robe of the Lost Circle combine, I will be so pissed....and I did a trial for eq2 out of boredom, and I kinda like how it goes about crafting. Interactive...leaves no room for chatting though.

The Crafting in EQ2 is amazing, but it has gone through a LOT of transitions. It was a real mess when it first started, and I picked the most useless crafting at the time (carpentry). Even now, carpentry isn't so useful but the sheer amount of creativity people show in constructing their rooms and houses is amazing. I used to just go around entering homes in EQ2 to see how people were designing places, and was always rather amazed.

EQ2's tradeskills were kind of shaky when the game first came out. I wouldn't touch it after the first time I played, but now I actually enjoy it at times.

I thought Vanguard's Crafting was done better then EQ2's, you've probably never played VG though, so nm.
